Launch of Wisdom for Mothers and Wisdom for Fathers in Kiswahili
David and Denise, along with a mission team from their church, spent several days in Tanzania. They lead a conference for 243 women and 186 men (expected attendance of 150 and 100 respectively) in church leadership while launching Wisdom for Mothers and Wisdom for Fathers in Kiswahili. Onesmus and Joyce Weru, our ministry partners in Nairobi Kenya, were instrumental in setting up this conference.
God truly blessed the first conference day. The people were so receptive and responsive to the messages and to our team. Their leadership for our worship was amazing. The rain only came during our breaks and cooled everything perfectly, there was plenty of food with some left over even with the larger than expected turnout. We give God the glory for what took place.
During the second conference day, God gave strength to all of us, although 1 team member was ill. There were powerful breakthroughs for those we prayed for. Some men told one of team that these biblical truths about marriage and family life are completely new to them and that they could have a big impact on the nation. The invitation at the women's conference was amazing. The altar was flooded with women who came for prayer. The conference ended, with our Kardo staff member from Kenya, Joyce Weru, leading a training session where the focus was not on us, but all the glory went to the Lord.
On Sunday, the team split up and many spoke in church services. Your prayers were truly appreciated.
